About Armando Picciotto
I began taking black and white pictures in 1968 with a 4X5 box camera; over the years, I moved on to other formats (including 2 ¼ and 35mm film) while expanding my range of experiences in the San Francisco Bay Area. After taking courses at San Francisco State and teaching several classes myself, I decided that digital photography provides me with the best tools to express myself. Since the computer is our modern-day darkroom, I now teach classes in Photoshop and continue to expand my photography experience. All these images were taken with professional DSLRs and are of the highest resolution. My photographs are on permanent exhibit in Berkeley, CA, at the Thousand Oaks Art Gallery (www.thousandoaksartgallery.com).
